Admission Procedure – BIMS Law College

BIMS Law College follows the admission regulations prescribed by Karnataka State Law University (KSLU), Hubballi. The admission process for the LLB (3-Year) and BBA LLB (5-Year) programs is designed to be simple and transparent.

Eligibility Criteria

For LLB (3-Year Program):

• The applicant must have completed a bachelor's degree in any discipline from:
  • A university established by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature.
  • A recognized National Institution or Deemed University.
  • A Foreign University recognized as equivalent to an Indian university by a competent authority.
• The candidate must have followed a 10+2+3 pattern of study.
• Minimum marks required in the degree examination:
  • 45% for General category
  • 40% for SC/ST candidates

• The applicant must have completed 10+2 (PUC or equivalent) from a recognized board.
• Minimum marks required in 12th grade:
  • 45% for General category
  • 40% for SC/ST candidates

Step-by-Step Admission Process

1. Step 1: Application Submission
   • Candidates can obtain the application form from the college office or apply online through the official website.
   • The completed application form must be submitted with all required documents.
2. Step 2: Submission of Documents

   Candidates must submit the following documents at the time of admission:

   • Original Marks Cards of:
     • SSLC/10th Grade
     • PUC/12th Grade (for BBA LLB applicants)
     • Bachelor's Degree (for LLB applicants)
     • Convocation/Degree Certificate (for LLB applicants).
   • Transfer Certificate (TC) from the previous institution.
   • Migration Certificate (for students from outside Karnataka).
   • Seven Passport-size photographs.

3. Step 3: Selection Process

   Admissions are based on merit, as per KSLU norms.

   • No entrance test is required unless mandated by KSLU or government regulations.
   • Shortlisted candidates will be invited for counseling and document verification.

4. Step 4: Admission Confirmation & Fee Payment

   Selected candidates will receive an admission offer letter.

   • Admission is confirmed upon payment of the prescribed course fees within the given deadline.
   • Students will receive an admission confirmation letter and student ID.

5. Step 5: Enrollment at Karnataka State Law University (KSLU)

   Once admission is confirmed, the college will register students with KSLU.

   • Students will receive their university registration number and academic schedule.

6. Step 6: Orientation & Commencement of Classes

   All newly admitted students must attend an orientation program, introducing them to faculty, curriculum, and campus facilities.

   • Regular classes will begin as per the academic calendar of KSLU.
